With the m.v. Rossum to the Antarctic
The producer of this amateur movie was a second officer on the above vessel during the years 1959 and 1960 when she made two voyages to the Antarctic waters. This tanker was part of the "Oostzee"  fleet owned by  Vinke & Co.  in Amsterdam. Her task was to deliver fuel to the mother vessel "Willem Barendsz", a factory ship in the Antarctic, then take home whale oil.

The movie in its original format was a 8 mm film which was later digitized. Because of the
"Nostalgia" character the contents of the movie was kept unchanged including the titling.
This 62 minutes video covers film clips from both voyages with some supporting clips in order to maintain the story line but remember: All of the participants are truly 100% "Vinke" stars !!!

This 62 minutes video is available  on
DVD to all Vinke friends at no charge.
